NEW CLASS: Cosy Winter Yin
Have you tried YIN yoga? This style of yoga is deliciously slow and very relaxing … the perfect way to slow down and nurture yourself during the colder months.
What is Yin?
In Chinese philosophy “Yin” is the passive principle of the universe, characterized as female and sustaining. Most yoga in the west is considered “Yang”- it’s physically demanding & energising.
YIN yoga does the opposite! You’ll practice passive poses that are held for longer periods of time (up to 5 minutes), so it doesn’t require much energy. The poses, props and time do most of the work so you can just ease into the pose, relax and enjoy.
Why would I do it?
Tapping into your bodies deep fascial networks and working along the meridian lines you will feel incredible balance and alignment. After yin, you’ll feel like you’re floating on a cloud. Your body becomes more supple, flexible AND you’ll feel a beautiful sense calm and total relaxation.
When: Winter Yin begins 12th May, classes are 6-7pm every Thursday
