COACHING & HYPNOTHERAPY IN BOWDEN

A clearer way forward

Sometimes you know something needs to change, but you can’t quite work out what — or you keep circling the same decision, pattern or response without getting anywhere.

At other times, the challenge is living with something that has persisted, such as ongoing pain, or the worry, frustration and mental load that can build around it.

Coaching and hypnotherapy offer different ways of exploring what is happening, shifting unhelpful patterns and finding a more workable way forward.

A limited number of appointments are available by enquiry.

You may be functioning well by every outward measure — job, relationships, routine — while feeling privately dissatisfied, stuck or unsure why something that should feel good doesn’t.

Or you may be living with something that has persisted, such as pain, and finding that the worry, frustration, fear or mental load around it has become part of the problem too.

Coaching & Hypnotherapy offers a focused space to understand what is keeping you stuck and work with it differently. Depending on what brings you in, that may involve clarifying what you want to change, exploring patterns in thoughts or behaviour, or using hypnotherapy to work with the experience and impact of persistent pain.

Who this service is for

This may suit you if ...

Personal change & feeling stuck

You may be functioning well, but know that something needs to change.

You’ve made the same decision in your head a hundred times and still haven’t acted on it.

You know what you “should” do, but it’s not what you actually want — and you’re not sure which to trust.

You’re at a point of change in your career, relationship or stage of life and the ground feels unsteady.

You second-guess yourself, even when you probably know what you want.

You keep finding yourself in the same pattern, conversation or response.

Something in your life looks fine from the outside, but doesn’t feel fine from the inside.

Persistent pain & its impact

You may understand that your pain is real and physical, while also noticing that living with it has begun to affect how you think, feel or behave.

Pain has been present for a long time, or keeps returning despite treatment or rehabilitation.

You find yourself worrying about pain, anticipating it or becoming increasingly focused on what might aggravate it.

Fear or uncertainty is making it difficult to trust your body or return to activities that matter to you.

Pain is affecting your sleep, mood, confidence, relationships or enjoyment of everyday life.

You feel frustrated, exhausted or worn down by the ongoing effort of managing symptoms.

You understand what you “should” do physically, but something still seems to get in the way of putting it into practice.

You do not need to arrive with everything clearly defined. Part of the process may involve working out what is keeping you stuck, what you would like to be different, and which approach is most appropriate.

Common areas of focus

People come for different reasons, and the focus of the work will depend on what is happening for you and what you would like to change.

The work is focused on meaningful personal change rather than diagnosing or treating a mental health condition.

How the work is done

Coaching, Hypnotherapy and the techniques we may use

Explore, Clarify, Act.

Coaching

A practical, conversational process for exploring what is happening, clarifying what you want to change and finding a way forward.

Useful for feeling stuck, navigating change, making decisions or understanding repeated patterns.

Hypnotherapy

Uses focused attention and guided techniques to work with patterns, responses and experiences that can be difficult to shift through conscious thinking alone.

It may support personal change or be used as a complementary approach for persistent pain and its impact.

NLP techniques

Explores how language, thought patterns and learned responses can influence how we experience and respond to situations.

These techniques may be incorporated into coaching or hypnotherapy rather than offered as a standalone treatment.

What happens during a session?

Conversation first, technique second

Start with what’s happening

We begin with a conversation about what has brought you in, what is happening now and what you would like to be different.

Choose the approach

From there, we decide together which approach may be most useful. That might involve coaching, hypnotherapy, NLP techniques or a combination.

Put it into practice

The focus is on helping you take what emerges from the session into everyday life — whether that means approaching a decision differently, responding to a familiar pattern in a new way, or changing how you relate to an ongoing experience such as pain.

Not every session includes hypnosis, and nothing is used without explaining first what it is and why it might help.

An active process

The aim is for you to leave clearer and more capable than when you arrived - not to keep coming back to feel that way.

A session can sometimes shift how something looks or feels — and that can be meaningful. But lasting change often comes from what you continue to notice, practise or do differently afterwards.

This is generally intended to be focused, time-limited work rather than open-ended support.

Scope of this service

Is this the right kind of support?

Coaching & Hypnotherapy is offered separately from physiotherapy, with dedicated appointment times.

This may be appropriate if…

  • You are generally functioning in everyday life and would like focused support with personal change, repeated patterns, confidence, decision-making or the experience and impact of persistent pain.

  • For persistent pain, hypnotherapy may be used as a complementary approach alongside appropriate medical, physiotherapy or other healthcare where needed.

This is not a substitute for…

  • Psychology or psychiatry
  • Counselling for significant mental health concerns
  • Medical treatment or crisis support
  • Addiction treatment
  • Specialised trauma care

Psychological or psychiatric treatment for significant mental-health concerns, crisis support, addiction treatment, specialist trauma therapy, or medical assessment where symptoms require investigation.

If your needs fall outside Juliana’s qualifications or this scope, that will be discussed openly and a more appropriate form of support recommended.

Take the next step

You may not yet know exactly what needs to change. You may simply know that where you are now no longer feels right, or that something continues to prevent you from moving forward.
