COACHING & HYPNOTHERAPY IN BOWDEN
A clearer way forward
Sometimes you know something needs to change, but you can’t quite work out what — or you keep circling the same decision, pattern or response without getting anywhere.
At other times, the challenge is living with something that has persisted, such as ongoing pain, or the worry, frustration and mental load that can build around it.
Coaching and hypnotherapy offer different ways of exploring what is happening, shifting unhelpful patterns and finding a more workable way forward.
You may be functioning well by every outward measure — job, relationships, routine — while feeling privately dissatisfied, stuck or unsure why something that should feel good doesn’t.
Or you may be living with something that has persisted, such as pain, and finding that the worry, frustration, fear or mental load around it has become part of the problem too.
Who this service is for
This may suit you if ...
Personal change & feeling stuck
You may be functioning well, but know that something needs to change.
You’ve made the same decision in your head a hundred times and still haven’t acted on it.
You know what you “should” do, but it’s not what you actually want — and you’re not sure which to trust.
You’re at a point of change in your career, relationship or stage of life and the ground feels unsteady.
You second-guess yourself, even when you probably know what you want.
You keep finding yourself in the same pattern, conversation or response.
Something in your life looks fine from the outside, but doesn’t feel fine from the inside.
Persistent pain & its impact
You may understand that your pain is real and physical, while also noticing that living with it has begun to affect how you think, feel or behave.
Pain has been present for a long time, or keeps returning despite treatment or rehabilitation.
You find yourself worrying about pain, anticipating it or becoming increasingly focused on what might aggravate it.
Fear or uncertainty is making it difficult to trust your body or return to activities that matter to you.
Pain is affecting your sleep, mood, confidence, relationships or enjoyment of everyday life.
You feel frustrated, exhausted or worn down by the ongoing effort of managing symptoms.
You understand what you “should” do physically, but something still seems to get in the way of putting it into practice.
Common areas of focus
People come for different reasons, and the focus of the work will depend on what is happening for you and what you would like to change.
-
Clarity & decision-making
Working through uncertainty, competing priorities or a sense of being stuck between what you think you “should” do and what feels right. -
Confidence & self-trust
Exploring self-doubt, second-guessing and patterns of relying heavily on reassurance or approval from others. -
Repeated patterns
Recognising thoughts, behaviours or responses that keep showing up even when you understand them intellectually and would like something to change.
-
Life transitions & change
Support through periods of transition in relationships, work, identity or stage of life when the old way no longer quite fits. -
Persistent pain & discomfort
Using hypnotherapy as a complementary approach to work with the experience of persistent pain or recurring symptoms, alongside appropriate healthcare where needed. -
The impact of living with pain
Working with pain-related worry, fear, frustration, reduced confidence, mental load or other patterns that can develop when symptoms have been present for a long time.
How the work is done
Coaching, Hypnotherapy and the techniques we may use
Coaching
A practical, conversational process for exploring what is happening, clarifying what you want to change and finding a way forward.
Useful for feeling stuck, navigating change, making decisions or understanding repeated patterns.
Hypnotherapy
Uses focused attention and guided techniques to work with patterns, responses and experiences that can be difficult to shift through conscious thinking alone.
It may support personal change or be used as a complementary approach for persistent pain and its impact.
NLP techniques
Explores how language, thought patterns and learned responses can influence how we experience and respond to situations.
These techniques may be incorporated into coaching or hypnotherapy rather than offered as a standalone treatment.
What happens during a session?
Conversation first, technique second
Start with what’s happening
Choose the approach
Put it into practice
Not every session includes hypnosis, and nothing is used without explaining first what it is and why it might help.
An active process
The aim is for you to leave clearer and more capable than when you arrived - not to keep coming back to feel that way.
A session can sometimes shift how something looks or feels — and that can be meaningful. But lasting change often comes from what you continue to notice, practise or do differently afterwards.
This is generally intended to be focused, time-limited work rather than open-ended support.
